The Vertical Church Values. At The Vertical Church, everyone is welcome to attend and discover more about Christ. Our Small Group Leader positions are places of influence in the church. Because of this, we ask that volunteers refrain from involvement in the following activities.

1. Adultery - Exodus 20:14
2. Murder - Genesis 9:6
3. Stealing - Exodus 20:15
4. Homosexuality - Romans 1:25-28
5. Transsexual behavior -Deuteronomy 22:5
6. Sexual Promiscuity (pornography, etc.) -1 Corinthians 6:19-20
7. Living together when not married -1 Corinthians 7:1-4, 8-9
8. Child Molestation - Matthew 18:1-6, 10
9. Abuse (substance, physical, sexual, emotional) Galatians 5:22-23, 1 Corinthians 6: 19-20
10. Continuous Slander - Proverbs 16:28 ; 1 Peter 2:1
11. Disobedience to Civil Authority (felony) Romans 13: 1-5
12. Involvement in Witchcraft or demonology Deuteronomy 18:10-13

The Vertical Church Social Media Agreement *

It’s exciting to see so many of us communicating online through social media. This is an incredible tool to help share your faith, learn, chronicle your life and connect with others. As we work together to help people become the hands and feet of Jesus here are a few tips to keep in mind while we navigate the online community.

1. Love God and Love others: Mark 12:28-31: Make sure we don’t give any person a reason to speak negatively on us and the Church.
2. Be yourself but do not brag: Philippians 2:3: Let us uplift others and not brag about ourselves.
3. Be Calm: Proverbs 29:11: Don’t pick fights, don’t get easily angered, etc…
4. Uphold Vertical’s Values and Beliefs: 1 Corinthians 14:12: See the section above…
5. You are amongst friends…Sometimes: Remember what you post can be seen by all. Something posted online is there forever. Let us be aware of that as we post to our social media because not all of our friends are looking out for us.
6. When in doubt refer to Number 1: We must show love to others first and sometimes that means saying nothing.
